Catching Up

I have been a very neglectful blogger this past month.  I ask my blogging friends to forgive me for not visiting or blogging lately.
Before we lost Granny in April, I was in the process of redoing my house.  It has been a huge undertaking, and I am still not finished with it.  I had the walls painted, then carpeted thruout the house, which meant everything had to be moved out or around, and all bookcases (5 of them) cleaned out and gone thru.  It has been a tremendous job.  I really wanted hardwood thruout the house, but economically it was not feasible for me to do.  Anyway, along with all of that, then losing Granny, our precious one, life has been extremely busy.  I do love the fresh new carpet tho, with nice comfy thick padding, so I am very happy with it.
We also had our annual Ladies' Luncheon at church in late March. Karen and Brenda, my daughters helped me to decorate my table. We had a wonderful time. The black theme with magnolias is my table, and the green and white theme was my sister's beautiful table.

.

Above is a picture of Brenda, my daughter, who came down then to help with the luncheon and we went to see Granny the following day.  I made pictures of her with Granny that day, which was the last day she got to see Granny before Granny left us, also a picture of my grandsons, Tyler and Robbie with Granny.  They are Granny's great grandsons, and they loved her so very much.

Your young Grandsons have a picture of someone precious to cherish...how often do we have a good time with someone we love just before they pass on into eternity?

Beautiful table-settings!Your table setting is very dramatic too.

So good to see a post from you! Glad you are back.

I can only imagine how busy your month has been. Yikes! I was so saddened to hear about Granny's passing, but I know she was ready to go and she is in a much better place now. I do hope they have a golden sewing machine for her up there.

Your black and white table is stunning!!!!! I like the green one too, but yours looks so elegant.

Take care and hope to hear from you again soon.
